Shipment Policy
Documentation requirements, weight calculation, restricted goods and liability limits that apply to every consignment we carry.

Mandatory Documentation (Domestic Shipments)
- GST Invoice
- E-Way Bill (where applicable)
E-Way Bill Rules
- Mandatory if shipment value exceeds ₹50,000
- Must contain complete details of goods being transported
E-Way Bill required even below ₹50,000 in
- Movement of handicraft goods
- Inter-state job work

Cases Where E-Way Bill is Not Required
- Goods value below ₹50,000 (except the mandatory cases mentioned above)
- Goods transported under customs bond or customs supervision, including Port/Airport → ICD/CFS, ICD/CFS → Port/Airport, and one customs station to another
- Goods in transit to or from Nepal or Bhutan
- Goods transported for the Ministry of Defence
- Used personal and household goods

Mandatory Documentation (International Shipments)
The following documents are compulsory:
- Invoice
- Packing List
- KYC Documents
- Declaration Letter
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card

Volumetric Weight Calculation
Shipment charges may be calculated based on volumetric weight (dimensions in cm):
Domestic — Train Mode
L × B × H ÷ 4500
Domestic — Air Mode
L × B × H ÷ 5000
Road Express
L × B × H ÷ 3500
International Shipments
L × B × H ÷ 5000

Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly not accepted for shipment:
IATA restricted articles
Gold, silver, diamonds, and precious items
Cash or cash equivalents
Firearms, ammunition, and fireworks
Explosives and military equipment
Tobacco and tobacco products
Drugs and alcoholic beverages
Any type of liquid products
Flammable or chemical powders
Pornographic materials
Share certificates and lottery tickets
Poultry, livestock, plants, or biological items
Human remains, organs, or body parts
Articles addressed to Cantonment (Cantt.) areas or APO addresses
Shipments for unserviceable or restricted locations
Any item deemed dangerous or hazardous

Limitation of Liability & Insurance
- Akash Ganga Courier Limited shall not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, or non-delivery of documents or parcels under any circumstances beyond its control.
- In any case, the maximum liability of Akash Ganga Courier Limited shall be limited strictly to the amount of courier charges paid for the shipment. No additional compensation or claims shall be entertained.
- The company shall not be responsible for any indirect loss, business loss, or consequential damages arising out of delay, loss, or damage of the shipment.
- Transit insurance is the sole responsibility of the Service Seeker (customer). If the shipment contains valuable goods, the customer must arrange appropriate insurance coverage at their own cost.
- In the absence of insurance, the customer shall bear all risks of loss or damage during transit.
